Bus fares capped at £2 from next week

Bus fare capping begins on the Isle of Man next week.

It's part of a three-month trail to help islanders cope with rising costs.

From 1st November fares will be capped at a maximum of £2 per journey.

Tynwald approved the move last month as part of a government support package to help islanders deal with high inflation and energy bills.

It's thought the cap could cost the Manx government around £170 thousand pounds.
