The headteacher of the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh in St John's says the Manx language is becoming increasingly well known in neighbouring countries.
Julie Matthews has recently returned from the Scottish Gaelic Teachers' Conference where she was invited by the country's First Minister.
Among the issues discussed were curriculum and resources.
