The Britain in Bloom officials have now completed the judging process on the Isle of Man.
All hopes are pinned on the Judges giving Douglas the Gold award, presently Silver is the best accolade ever achieved.
We spoke to one of the Judges Jeff Bates who has been impressed with what he saw especially the wildlife conservation work.
The results will be unveiled at a ceremony in London at the end of September, we asked Douglas Councillor David Christian if he’s confident the Island can finally clinch the top honour.
