Breast screening on the Island is expected to resume by the end of the month.
That’s according to Manx Care, following the announcement that non symptomatic services have been paused while updates are made to the programme.
Currently, mammograms taken on the Island are sent to Manchester to be checked for abnormalities, which is then sent back to the Island so further appointments can be made.
Manx Care’s programme will now also become part of the checking process, resulting in the temporary suspension of services while arrangements are made.
The health body says these revised arrangements with Manchester will be in place no later than February 24.
