A bomb squad will be travelling to the Isle of Man.
It follows an 'unused shell' - thought to be from World War One, being found in at a property on Howe Road in Port St Mary.
A scene guard is place to ensure the shell isn't moved, until the army teams arrived on Island in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police say there is no immediate risk to the public at this time.
