Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash on the Mountain Road this morning.
A 55-year-old motorcyclist from Bolton died from the injuries he sustained in the crash at Hailwood’s Rise at 6.45am:
Police say he collided with the back of a Citroen C4 car which was being driven by a local man – the road was closed for several hours whilst police carried out investigation work.
