Boat owners have been urged to take extra care to secure their boats after a theft last week.
Police are investigating after two outboard motors were taken between July 13th and July 27th from the boat park on Breakwater Road in Port Erin.
One motor is a 6 horsepower Mariner engine and the other is a 2.5 horsepower Yamaha engine. Both are silvery-blue in colour and have a combined value of £1800.
Police say incidents of this nature are not a regular occurrence but have asked members of the public to remain vigilant especially during the summer when areas like this are busier.
Anyone with information about the stolen motors is asked to contact Port Erin Police Station on 832222.
