Firefighters were called into action on Friday after a boat caught fire in Ballasalla.
A fire crew from Castletown was called to the Balthane Industrial Estate at 4.30pm.
On arrival they found a boat which was being cut up for disposal had set alight due to the heat from the cutting process.
Crews brought the blaze under control quickly but spent an hour on scene making the area safe - there were no reports of any injuries.
