Bird flu could reach the Island at any time says the Manx Wild Bird Aid
That's the warning - as the charity urges people to be vigilant.
Anyone with a sick or injured bird is asked not to bring them to the charity without getting in touch beforehand for a risk assessment.
It comes as the UK reports a "phenomenal level" of bird flu this year with hundreds of thousands of captive birds being culled.
The virus infects waterfowl such as ducks, geese and swans as well as some shorebirds and poultry.
A charity spokesman said it's very rare for the virus to infect humans.
