A seagull 'narrowly avoided starving to death' after becoming stuck beneath a grid in the Island's capital.
Manx Wild Bird Aid was called to Church Road Marina in Douglas, where the bird had become trapped.
The charity is now urging anyone with grids covering the ground - at homes, businesses, or workplaces - to check them regularly for trapped wildlife.
With no way of knowing how long it had been there, rescuers gave it a full health check before releasing it in a safe spot near Douglas beach.
