People who disturb bird nests can be prosecuted under the Wildlife Act.
It's illegal to remove a nest once a bird has started building it says the The Manx Wild Bird Aid.
The warning comes ahead of the nesting season although some birds start building their nests earlier than spring.
The charity says once a bird has started building a nest, it's legally protected and must not be removed.
It adds the animals must be left in peace to lay eggs and raise their babies, even if it causes annoyance or inconvenience, or you could be prosecuted under the Wildlife Act 2006.
