A Bill to recognise the capital's new city status will go before the Legislative Council next week.
The City of Douglas Bill 2025 was introduced by Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood in October.
It will update 21 laws dating back as far as 1895 which refer to Douglas as a town.
LegCo will meet in the Legislative Buildings in Douglas on Tuesday, November 25 at 10am.
