A visiting biker has been flown to the UK for hospital treatment after suffering serious injuries in a crash.
The 58-year-old, who was riding a blue Honda VFR, collided with a blue BMW on the Mountain Road yesterday.
It happened near the Mountain Box, at 4.45pm - the car was being driven by an 18-year-old local man.
The tourist was taken to Noble’s Hospital before being transferred – police say he remains in a ‘serious condition’.
The teenager and his passenger were unhurt – he was arrested at the scene and bailed without charge.
Police say enquiries are ongoing and have appealed for anyone who saw the two vehicles to contact them.
