Weekend of Live Music In the Offing
The Big Wheel Laxey Blues Festival will get underway tonight with a weekend of live music planned.
This years sees the event celebrate it’s 12th Birthday with the usual mix of internationally renound blues artists and local musicians playing throughout the weekend.
The festival is focused around two main areas, The Pavilion in the Laxey Glen Gardens which will play host to the majority of the renound acts, entry for the gardens is with ticket only.
Playing in the Gardens will be Larry Garner with the Norman Beaker Band, and Aiynsley Lister among many others.
The pubs around Laxey will be playing host to the fringe festival, which will see over 40 local acts performing.
The weather forecasts are looking good for the weekend and extra buses to Ramsey and Douglas have been laid on for revellers who want to enjoy a drink
