A Douglas man who wrongly claimed more than £8,000 in benefits will be sentenced next month.
29-year-old David William Atkinson, of Marathon Road, appeared at Douglas Courthouse last week.
He pleaded guilty to five counts of making false representations to obtain benefits between August 2015 and May 2016.
The court was told he'd been claiming incapacity and income support benefits since 2014 but failed to declare his circumstances had changed after he began working for a number of construction companies.
In total he was overpaid £8,084.
Social enquiry reports were requested before he's sentenced on May 9th - an application for bail was refused and he's been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until that date.
