North Douglas MHK John Houghton will raise the issue in the House of Keys this morning.
Earlier this month it was confirmed that bendy buses will not be brought in on the Island because of the costs involved with updating the road network to suit them.
Mr Houghton also wants to know why the department failed to conduct an adequate risk assessment on the use of the articulated vehicles.
The sitting will start at 10am.
