Those aboard the Ben-my-Chree last night had to return to Manx shores after the vessel was unable to dock at Heysham.
The Steam Packet says due to dense fog, the decision was made for the Ben to head back to Douglas at around 2am.
She arrived back at around 6am, and is due to go to Heysham again just before 9am.
