The Steam Packet has issued a reminder to passengers that the Ben-my-Chree will enter dry-dock next week for its biennial overhaul.
The vessel will be out of action from next Monday until May 5 with the Manannan providing most of the cover for all passenger bookings during this time.
The Steam Packet has also chartered a large-capacity freighter for this period to cover the Ben’s cargo duties and provide one passenger service each day.
The company’s chief executive Mark Woodward said the temporary freighter is ‘well-suited to the Island’s needs’ and will offer one daily return trip from Heysham.
The Ben-my-Chree will be back in action on Sunday, May 6.
