The Ben-my-Chree will return to service six days later than previously planned.
The vessel had been due to be back in action from this Friday (May 7), however routine inspections of the boat in dry dock found steam tube wearings were more worn than expected - as a result, they've been removed and sent to a specialist company for remanufacturing.
As a result, the craft is now expected to return on Thursday, May 13, and Manannan will continue to run daytime passenger services until then whilst the MV Arrow will operate freight routes.
Affected passengers will be contacted by the Steam Packet Company reservations team.
