The Department of Infrastructure is asking motorists to be patient if they're using the TT access road during racing.
On Facebook, it says the only route between Noble's Hospital and the outside of the course can get congested.
And it adds although it can be frustrating waiting to get through, it needs to use temporary traffic lights to make sure emergency vehicles can reach the hospital.
In its post, the DOI says it understands people's frustrations, but is asking for patience and understanding.
