Be Fire Safe This Christmas

Fire crews are urging members of the public to be cautious with fire hazards over the festive period.

With Christmas trees and lights going up across the Island, Douglas fire officers say, by taking a few simple steps this Christmas, fire risks can be reduced around the home.

The Isle of Man fire services have launched a 12 days of Christmas safety tips.

Sub Officer Peter Killey said it's important for members of the public to take precautions in their properties around Christmas as fire incidents do increase.
