Police are warning about another phone scam after a number of people were duped out of their money.
Residents have reported receiving telephone calls from a scammer claiming to be from the Isle of Man Bank, alerting the recipients to possible fraudulent transactions on their accounts.
Banking details have then been requested by the caller, to assist with dealing with the so-called fraudulent transactions.
Unfortunately, these people have later found that considerable sums of money have been removed from their accounts.
Police say if you receive such a call, we would advise that if you are in any way unsure about the circumstances, that you do not give out any personal or banking details and that you end the call and contact your bank to check the provenance of the call.
