A year nine pupil from Ballakermeen High School has died unexpectedly, according to a letter sent to parents by the headteacher.
Graeme Corrin explained the Department of Education, Sport and Culture's Bereavement Response Team will be visiting the school today, Thursday, October 16, to provide support to students.
Mr Corrin said the school's thoughts are with the student's family at this extremely sad time.
He added anyone with concerns can contact the school office on 648700.
