The Department of Infrastructure says the weather is too bad to close the Mountain Road today.
A section from Brandywell to the Creg-ny-Baa had been due to shut at 9.30am for surveying work.
However, the DOI says the windy weather means the work has been postponed.
On social media, it says it plans to close the road tomorrow from 9.30am until 4.30pm.
