For the first time ever - a newborn dolphin has been documented in Manx waters.
The Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch made the discovery last night.
It says a family of at least three adult Bottlenose dolphins and a calf have been spotted 26 times since Mid-September, predominantly in Peel bay.
Back in September, an extremely tiny animal was spotted jumping out just behind its mother and has since been photographed in October and November near Peel castle.
The charity says the calf has visible lines on its body, known as foetal folds which occur when the dolphin is curled up in the womb, and typically disappear after three months.
