Liberal Vannin Party member Pat Ayres has declared his intention to stand at the General Election in September.
He's put himself forward to become MHK for the new look Ayre and Michael constituency saying the Island has been "sold short" recently and it's time for a change of direction.
He says if successful he won't join the "over generous" pension scheme, claim extra money for working in a department or use the "free car park".
