Police are advising residents to avoid unnecessary travel on Island today due to the wintry conditions.
Officers say roads across the Isle of Man have varying degrees of ice and snow - the Mountain Road has been closed since the early hours of this morning due to the conditions.
As a result, the constabulary says, at this time, to avoid any unnecessary travel whilst the conditions remain as they are.
Authorities add gritters are currently out treating main roads.
