Company 'Auldyn Construction' says it's 'horrified' at claims employees were harming Seagulls on Douglas Promenade.
It comes after comments on social media that people saw workers trying to trap the birds with food, before hitting them with an excavator.
Auldyn says it's now 'fully investigated' the claims and found no seagulls have been harmed, but has apologised for any upset caused.
Staff have also been reminded it's an offence to injure wild birds.
