A campaign group says the progression of the Assisted Dying Bill is a 'victory for choice and compassion.'
It comes after a vote in the House of Keys yesterday, in which 17 of the 24 MHKs voted to back the Bill.
Dignity in Dying says the Island's politicians have 'heard the overwhelming call for change from the Manx people.'
There will now be a further vote on the next steps for scrutiny of the legislation, before MHKs can propose amendments.
