An allegation of assault against a Douglas man has been dropped after his alleged victim retracted their statement to police.
Carl Joseph Bridson of Somerset Road was excused appearing before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
Prosecutor James Robinson told the court the 36 year old had been charged with causing actual bodily harm on October 30 but the complainant in the case had withdrawn their witness statement.
He withdrew the charge and magistrates awarded costs to Mr Bridson.
