The government says it's spent around half the money it set aside for major projects this year.
Rushen MHK Juan Watterson put a question for written reply to Treasury Minister Chris Thomas about capital spending.
He wanted to know how much was earmarked for schemes and how much was actually spent over the last year.
Mr Thomas said the government spent 70 per cent of its £71.6 million budget last year, and had used 50 per cent of its £87.3 million budget so far this year.
