Nearly 1,000 people have been prosecuted for failing to declare income to the tax authorities over the past five years.
That's out of a total of 27,655 sanctions handed out to taxpayers over the period, which includes prosecutions.
And the number of people sanctioned for failing to declare income from interest has fallen sharply over the past five years.
It went from 133 taxpayers in 2019 to 2020, to 17 in 2023 to 2024.
