A public access area will be closed for a week from Monday to allow for Manx Gas to carry out the latest stage of their natural gas conversion project.
They’ll be working within the disused railway area off Greenlands Avenue from Gardners Lane in Ramsey.
The closure is set to affect occupants from 1 to 41 of Greenlands Avenue and those members of the public who use the footpath.
The conversion project is endeavouring to bring natural gas to Ramsey by 2012, for this to happen Manx Gas need to carry out some essential mains installation and modification works, currently they’re laying a new main.
Once completed 6,800 households will benefit from the conversion to natural gas.
