Speaker of the House of Keys Juan Watterson says more regulation is needed when parents home-school their children.
This month, he asked Education Minister Graham Cregeen about the issue in Tynwald.
The Department of Education and Children recently announced plans to create legislation which requires parents to provide an annual report detailing what education was provided to their children.
