Going to arbitration to finalise the ongoing row between government and bus drivers would cost jobs.
That’s the view of the Community, Culture and Leisure Minister following a fourth round of industrial action.
Drivers went on strike on Wednesday – although the union representing them claims it wasn’t an official stoppage because drivers were barred from returning to work.
Unite has continually called for an independent arbitrator to put the situation to bed.
However Graham Cregeen says if they went down this route it would mean job losses:
