There could be another by-election in Douglas after a councillor submitted his resignation.
Alan Quirk will stand down from his role in the Athol Ward with immediate effect.
If more than one person comes forward for the role it will be the third time in 15 months that a by-election will take place in the town.
Leader of Douglas Council David Christian has called Mr Quirk’s decision disappointing and says there could now be a cost implication for Douglas rate payers.
