Anglers urged to get their licence for new season

A licence costs £57, with the season running from the 1st April to 31st October.

Anglers are being reminded that they will incur a hefty penalty if they’re not in possession of a valid licence now that the new season has started.

A man recently convicted of fishing without a licence was fined £150 with costs of £125, he was also disqualified from holding a licence for 12 months.

You can purchase your licence from the Department’s HQ at St John’s, from the Post Office and via the Government’s online services.
