A court’s heard a man overtook multiple drivers, including two off-duty police officers, as he approached a blind corner on the TT course.
Ian Hodgett of Larivane Meadows in Andreas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded not guilty to a single count of dangerous driving in Barregarrow on August 16 last year.
Prosecutor James Robinson told the hearing police watched as he overtook them and a number of other vehicles at around 70mph heading north.
The court heard 58 year old Mr Hodgett is said to have cut another driver up as he swung back onto his own side of the road to avoid hitting an oncoming Ford Transit van.
Mrs Hughes adjourned the case, and Mr Hodgett will next appear in court on June 24 for a pre-trial review hearing.
