An Andreas man accused of murdering his mother and trying to kill his father has been remanded in custody.
James Price of Croft Park appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse via a live video link from the Isle of Man Prison.
He hasn’t yet entered a plea to one charge each of murder and attempted murder at the family home on January 17.
A previous hearing was told Mr Price’s grandmother called police at around 2am and when officers arrived they were met by his father who told them he’d been strangled with a towel.
Mr Price’s mother was found unconscious in a bedroom and pronounced dead shortly before 2.30am.
The court heard the 21 year old hasn’t instructed an advocate yet and there was no application for bail.
Mrs Hughes remanded him in custody and he’s next due to appear in court on February 23.
