An amber weather warning for coastal overtopping and inner harbour flooding will come in to force from later today.
Ronaldsway Met Office says the warning will be in place from 9.30pm until 2pm tomorrow.
Strong to gale force winds are forecast, with high spring tides which will create some large waves and lead to 'significant overtopping' of sea water and debris.
Areas most at risk are Shore Road Rushen and Castletown, Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey promenades.
There's also a risk of flooding on North Quay in Douglas, with flood defences needing to be deployed for Castletown Harbour.
