An amber weather warning for ice is currently in place across the Island, resulting in 'hazardous road conditions'.
Ronaldsway Met office says wintry showers overnight, combined with below freezing temperatures have resulted in 'unusually slippery' conditions.
Extreme caution is being advised - with untreated roads and pavements described as 'very icy and dangerous'.
Police say the west of the Island has been affected quite badly, with Peel Coast road shut.
Further, reports say the south of the Island, Kirk Michael, Cronk Y Voddy and Laxey are all 'extremely icy'.
Some bus services are being affected - IOM transport says they're currently unable to serve Willaston, Birch Hill and Ballachrink.
Officers say Gritters and extra DOI staff have been out all night.
