A weather warning for coastal overtopping and inner harbour flooding will come into in force across the Island this morning.
The amber warning is in place from 10am until 2pm this afternoon.
Ronaldsway Met Office has forecast gale force winds and says high spring tides will create some large waves and lead to 'significant overtopping' of sea water and debris.
Areas most at risk are Shore Road Rushen and Castletown, Douglas, Laxey and Ramsey promenades.
The Department of Infrastructure has closed West Quay, and East Street, West Street and Christian Street in Ramsey from the junction with West Quay to Parliament Street due to inner harbour flooding.
The closure also affects Auckland Lane, Meadow Court, Quayside Lane, Collins Lane, Trafalgar Hotel Lane, Old Courier Lane and Old Post Office Lane.
Castletown Promenade is also closed from its junction with Shore Road to King Williams College.
All closures are expected to be in place until 2pm.
