Port Erin coastguards interrupted a training exercise when they were called to the aid of a Loaghtan sheep.
They were out on exercise when a member of the public raised the alarm last night.
A sheep had become stuck at the Chasms, and had to be brought back up a sheer cliff face to safety.
The Loaghtan was none the worse for his ordeal.
