Fewer people travelled through the Island’s airport in August according to new statistics.
Ronaldsway saw a three per cent decline from the previous month, signifying a three-month downward trend.
Compared with last year, almost 2000 less people passed through the airport in August.
The UK has seen similar falls in numbers – officials are attributing the shortfalls to the London Olympics, which influenced many people to stay at home over the summer period to enjoy the games.
