It’s further evidence of the challenges currently faced by the air travel market with the poor figures reflected across numerous airports in the UK.
Regionally, London saw the biggest decrease with 1,000 fewer passengers.
Airport Director Ann Reynolds has said it’s fair to say that 2011 is unlikely to bring the results that they’d hoped for.
