The Steam Packet Company says problems with air travel have given its ferry crossings a boost in numbers over the last year.
The company's annual directors' report is due to be laid before Tynwald when the court sits next month.
The document shows last year the company made a profit of £11 million in 2022, compared to a £3.2 million loss the year before.
And the report says not only has the company seen higher passengers and freight than pre-Covid levels, but reduced capacity and security delays at the airport have also meant more people choosing sea travel.
