Public Health says the disease is usually mild but can be serious for newborn babies, pregnant women and those with weak immune systems.
It says you should avoid having contact with those groups if you've got symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has them.
And it adds vaccinations against the disease are available - they're routinely given to children aged between 12 and 18 months.
