Three Ridge Charity Challenge for raise money for Ardwhallan Outdoor Education Centre
Adventurous individuals are wanted for a challenge to walk three of Britain’s most imposing ridges.
The Three Ridge Charity Challenge takes place from 2nd-5th April 2012 and will raise money for Ardwhallan Outdoor Education Centre, West Baldwin, which is run by the Department of Education and Children’s Youth Service.
The challenge will take place over three days, aiming to complete a ridge each day and travelling between the regions in the evening. A good level of fitness, a sense of adventure and a head for heights are a must.
Participants will scale Crib Goch in Snowdonia National Park, Wales, Striding Edge in the Lake District, England, and Aonach Eagach Ridge in Glencoe, Scotland.
They will be asked to raise a minimum of £500 each, which will allow funds to be ploughed back into Ardwhallan, a registered charity dedicated to helping young people seek adventure. As a result, young people will benefit from similar off-Island challenges.
Participants must be 18 or over.
A meeting for those interested in taking part will be held at Ardwhallan on Monday 26th September at 7pm. Please book a place by emailing p.melling@doe.sch.im or j.lantry@doe.sch.im
