A1 roadworks tonight at Glen Darragh

Roadworks will take place on a section of the main highway between Douglas and Peel this evening.

Emergency repairs are being carried out on the A1 at Glen Darragh, Crosby between 6.30pm and 10.30pm and as a result the road in the area will be reduced to a single lane of traffic with stop/go signs operating during those times.

The Department of Infrastructure says the works have been sanctioned following consultation and agreement with Festival of Motorcycling organisers.

Motorists are being advised to take an alternative route between those times and are apologising in advance for any potential disruption.
