Roadworks will take place on the main route between Douglas and Peel today.
The A1 will go down to a single lane and have temporary traffic lights in place between Snugborough Trading Estate and Braddan Parish Church from 9am until no later than 4pm.
The Department of Infrastructure says it's while patching work on the road surface there takes place.
Officials are advising motorists to consider using other routes around it where possible whilst the work is carried out.
